Meet Our Team

Robin Lucas

Founder/President/CPO (Chief Petting Officer)

Originally from Chico, California, Robin has called Atlanta/Decatur home for over 40 years. She spent the majority of her career as Director of Client Relations for Mailtek, an Atlanta subsidiary of TSYS/Synovus, and attended the Synovus Leadership Institute. The servant leadership model serves as the foundation for the business. With over 100 – 5 Star Google reviews and award winning NextDoor Neighborhood favorite 4 years in a row, Robin is quick to give the credit to have an amazing staff who are both professional and passionate.

Robin’s deep love of animals started in her childhood and growing up she can’t remember a time when there were not a variety of pets around. When she moved to Decatur in 2000, Robin was her neighbors’ “go to” for pet-sitting and advice. After experiencing incidents with her own pets’ care while out of town, she saw a great need for professional pet-focused, customized care. Robin combined her corporate background in client service and business operations with her natural love and knowledge of animals, launching Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC., in 2014. Helping the community is also an important part of OGPS’ mission. OGPS is involved with education charity auctions, partners with both large and small pet shelters and pet food banks, and supports other local small businesses.

Robin’s vision for the company is one where the entire focus is on each pet and their unique needs. Our philosophy is to focus on customizing the care and providing a professional, positive and loving experience. We invest our time in getting to know each individual client to become a trusted extended part of their family and care.

At home, Robin’s family companions “currently” include two rescue Weimaraners, Velvet and Saddie May, and the matriarch of the family, Alexis, a cattle dog mix. Robin enjoys gardening, live music, charity auctions, and visiting our beautiful coastal beaches year-round.
