Robin Lucas
Founder/President/CPO (Chief Petting Officer)
Originally from Chico, California, Robin has called Atlanta/Decatur home for over 40 years. She spent the majority of her career as Director of Client Relations for Mailtek, an Atlanta subsidiary of TSYS/Synovus, and attended the Synovus Leadership Institute. The servant leadership model serves as the foundation for the business. With over 75 – 5 Star Google reviews and award winning NextDoor Neighborhood favorite 4 years in a row, Robin is quick to give the credit to have an amazing staff who are both professional and passionate.
Robin’s deep love of animals started in her childhood and growing up she can’t remember a time when there were not a variety of pets around. When she moved to Decatur in 2000, Robin was her neighbors’ “go to” for pet-sitting and advice. After experiencing incidents with her own pets’ care while out of town, she saw a great need for professional pet-focused, customized care. Robin combined her corporate background in client service and business operations with her natural love and knowledge of animals, launching Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC., in 2014. Helping the community is also an important part of OGPS’ mission. OGPS is involved with education charity auctions, partners with both large and small pet shelters and pet food banks, and supports other local small businesses.
Robin’s vision for the company is one where the entire focus is on each pet and their unique needs. Our philosophy is to focus on customizing the care and providing a professional, positive and loving experience. We invest our time in getting to know each individual client to become a trusted extended part of their family and care.
At home, Robin’s family companions “currently” include two rescue Weimaraners, Velvet and Saddie May, and the matriarch of the family, Alexis, a cattle dog mix. Robin enjoys container gardening and is a supporter of the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. She enjoys going to concerts and festivals and loves a good food truck. Robin’s favorite thing to do is spend time playing, reading, being silly and all the wonderful things as a MiMi she gets to do with her grandson Jeremy.

Jeremy
Team Lead Dog Walker
Jeremy LOVES working with animals. Not only did he grow up with pets but he has been a professional dog walker for six years. His pawsome clients are over the moon happy to see him, and he’s always had a natural connection to them. When he’s not caring for pets, Jeremy is an actor, and uses his acting skills to build out characters in the voiceover industry. Jeremy is also a huge history buff, who occasionally gives historical lectures. He has three corgis at home – Mr. Beau, Charys, and Captain Stumpers and one extremely antisocial cockatiel named Pi.
Kat
Team Lead Dog Walker & Pet Care Specialist
Kat is one of those rare Atlantan natives. She is a Georgia DAWG who has traveled all over the world including backpacking through India and Southeast Asia, and living in Australia for a year. She loves working with animals because what you see is what you get and she finds that refreshing – animals always being their true selves. When Kat’s not providing exceptional care for all of her pet clients, you can find her in a yoga studio or planning her next trip around the world. She has a boxer named Sami who is the light of her life.
Miles
Office Support, Pet Sitter & Dog Walker
Miles is a native Atlantan who grew up with a house full of pets and has always had a natural ease with animals. Miles is the guy who asks to pet your dog or waves at your dog from his car window. When he goes on pet visits for OGPS, he says he feels like he is seeing extended family and friends. Besides being great with cats and dogs, Miles has taken care of all kinds of pets including reptiles and pocket pets. Over the years, he has owned and trained five hooded rats. Miles’ other passion is cooking and he is known as a pizzaiolo. In his free time, Miles loves to hike, fish and play the drums. He has two cats named Soy Sauce and Felix.

Kristy
Pet Sitter & Dog Walker
Kristy is an Assistant Principal in Gwinnett County during the school year and works for OGPS over the summers and holidays. She originally connected with OGPS when she was looking for a professional dog walker to help with her pups. She said, “OGPS is so reliable and helpful that she had no hesitation in lending a paw when available.”
She describes herself as lucky because she gets to take her trained, certified therapy aussie doodle, Archie to school to help the students. Kristy says the most rewarding part is watching Archie working with children and his amazing positive impact on their behaviors and learning. When she’s not hard at work helping others, Kristy enjoys reading and powerlifting. The other members of her pack are two schnauzers, Boss and Jett.
